Juice Fast Round 2 - Done & Over With
Well, my 2nd round of juice fasting didn't last as long as I thought it would. Just a mere 7 days. That's all I could handle this time around.

The 6 days were 95% easy. Just a few minor temptations here and there... but I did good, thank God.

Sunday came around. Now THAT was a hard day. We made a quick stop at a fast food joint after church. My husband and the boys were all sitting in the car enjoying their chicken sandwiches and fries... while I sat there with my juice. Let me tell ya... that was a hard moment.

Then we spent the day at my sisters house. There were people eating random food at random times. I just drank my juice. It was a really tough day for me. But I got through it. Thank God again.

Monday came. I started my water fast. By the time 5 pm rolled around I was SO hungry that I was seriously getting really, really mad. I just wanted to eat. I came home, hid in my bedroom, and cried. I didn't know what else to do. It was like I was almost having an emotional/nervous break down I wanted to eat so bad. After I was done bawling, I came out and had dinner with my family. I ate and it felt SO good!!!

So there you have it. I didn't last very well, but at least I completed a whole week of juice fasting. That's not bad. I'm kinda considering doing that like once a month or maybe every 2 months or so.

Within the 7 days, I lost 8.2 pounds. That brought me down to 173.2. I gotta lose 5.2 pounds and I will be down to my "finished juice fast" weight.

For now I will continue to try to eat as much raw food as possible and keep trying to lose my weight... or at least try not to gain any.......
Juice Fasting Round 2 - Day 5
My 5th day of juice fasting has come to an end. I am literally blogging on my phone in bed, thus ignore all the mistakes ; )

I have to say, I am really, truly loving this!! I didn't know what to expect from round 2 on the juicing fast, but I was really surprised. I have had no detox or ill effects whatsoever! I expected major headaches from caffiene withdrawal since I had become obsessed with coffee again, but I have had no issues. There was 1 day, I believe it was the morning of my 2nd day, I did have a headache BUT I do not know what caused it. It could have been caffiene withdrawal, or the fact that I was sick with a cold, or maybe I had over heated in the sauna the night before. Never the less, that has been my 1 and only issue so far on round 2. I cannot tell you how happy I am!!

I was hoping round 2 would be easier, but I sure didn't expect it to be THIS easy!! I mean, I am done with 5 days already! I have enjoyed my juices, I feel fabulous, I have lost weight, and 95% of the time, I have not been hungry. AT ALL!!

There have only been a handful of times during the last 5 days that I was tempted (and actually considered eating). But those few times only lasted a few seconds, then I was done drooling over the food, and on with my day : )

Like I said before, I am still not sure how long I want to do this fast for. Deep down, I secretly want to do it for 40-60 days... But if I think about the length, I seriously start freaking out... Lol... So for now, I am taking it 1 day at a time. Seems to be working very well for me at the moment.

I am still trying to figure out where to stick Water Fasting.. Like when I should start & how long to do it for.

This morning I weighed in at 175.4 pounds. Which is 6 pounds down from Monday. I am quite happy with that. I need to lose 20 more pounds & I'll be at my goal! Yay!!

Juice Fasting is AWESOME!! Thank God for making me aware of it!!
Juice Fast Round 2
Well, the New Year has started and I am STILL fat... lol!! So much for reaching my goal & being skinny by the end of 2011...

That didn't happen, and I am ok with it. You know why? (Well, besides that fact that I love my life & and super thankful to God for all His blessings)

The reason I am OK with the fact that I haven't actually reached my 155 pound goal yet is because I know that I can. Yep. Before, I never actually believed that I could reach my goal and be skinny. But ever since learning about Juice Fasting from Valik & Jenni I now actually KNOW and BELIEVE that I can and WILL reach my goal!! And that makes me happy!!

My 1st Juice Fast consisted of 30 days juice fasting & 10 days water fasting for a total of 40 days of cleansing.
Overall I lost 24 pounds, which I was super duper thrilled about!! Since getting off the fasting... I sort of let myself go back to my old habits. I was "testing the waters", but ended up drowning... lol... I totally fell off the wagon and just started eating/drinking all the same old unhealthy stuff that I was trying to get away from.

It has now been 9 weeks since I ended my fast and I have gained back 13.4 pounds. (Gasp).... that's actually a shocker to me... lol.. this whole time, I kept thinking that I only gained 10 pounds back.

Well, obviously that is not the case... let me just confirm that it is MY fault that I gained the weight back. I just totally let go of any "control" over what I was eating or drinking.

I am happy to report though that I have decided to start another Juice Fast!! Honestly, I am so excited about it!!
At the moment, I do not know how long I will do this fast for. My 1st goal is to lose the 13.4 pounds and be back down to 168. I really enjoyed being at that weight. Stuff actually fit me!! AND I was getting compliments!

Day 1:
I started the juice fast yesterday, which was Monday, January 9, 2012 weighing in at 181.4 pounds.
The 1st day was great. I drank my juice and felt just fine... until I got home... and there was food... THEN I became really hungry.. but I just drank my juice.. Jenni and I sat in a Hot Sauna for about an hour... that felt really nice : ) I was hoping it would help me sweat out some fat... lol

Day 2:
Woke up with a HORRIBLE headache. Took 3 Fever-few & 1 Tylenol...the pain subsided... really enjoyed my Green Lemon Ginger Juice... eventually I gave in and had a cup of green tea rather than another pill... and that really made my head stop hurting.

I came home and had Green Lemonade (minus the Romaine Lettuce)... and just chilled.

I don't know if its too early too tell, but I think round 2 of the Juice Fast might be easier to handle than the 1st one!

Yay for Juicing!!

P.S. Day 1 I weighed in at 181.4. Morning of Day 2 I weighed in at 179.4 WooHoo!!
Last Post of 2011
Well, 2011 is coming to an end. It has been a wonderful year. Filled with lots of fun, blessings, lessons, and love. I have really enjoyed it and am very thankful to God for all He has done for and given me.

As most of my readers know, my family usually all gets together at a hotel to celebrate the New Year. My goal this year (and every year) was to reach my all time wannabe weight of 155. Since Valik & Jenni introduced me to the Juicing Cleanse/Fast this year, I actually thought my dream weight was reachable.

I'll spare you all the details. For those of you who have been reading my blog, you know all the ups & downs I have gone through.

But I'm going to summarize my weight for 2011

The most I weighed this year was 197.4 on June 27th.

On September 22nd I started Juicing Cleansing at 192.0 pounds

27 days into my Juice Cleansing, weighing 177.4, I started a 10 day water fast.
I ended the 10 day water fast weighing 163.8
I actually ended up gaining a few pounds when I added juice back in, and when I finished my 40 day total Juice/Water Cleanse, I weighed 168.0 on November 1st.

I was really thrilled with my results and thought for sure this would be the 1st New Years that I would really enjoy being at the hotel because I would feel good in a swim suit.

Well, I did not do so well with all the holidays. Actually, I pretty much sucked. I totally did not control myself. No idea why, but I just went all into the binging. Trust me, I didn't enjoy it. It made me feel sick and fat. I was (and am) disappointed with myself for letting myself go after doing such an amazing thing such as then 40 day Juice Cleanse.

Well, New Years is here once again. I do still fit way better into my swim suit than I ever have before... but I still wear a tank top on top of it, and cover up as soon as I'm out of the water. I can't just relax and enjoy myself. I am still very self conscience.

Despite not reaching my weight goal, I am still having a wonderful time on this little get away of ours.

So my final weigh in for 2011 is
178.2
(which means I gained 10.2 pounds since I stopped juicing)

I am 19.2 pounds lighter than my "most" weight of the year, but I am still 23.2 pounds away from my ultimate goal weight.

Come January, I am really wanting to do another Juice Cleanse.... but we'll see how that works out...

Hope you had a great 2011, but I hope you have an EVEN GREATER 2012! God's Blessings!!

It takes a lot of courage to publicly admit failure. Understandably, you are upset, but you shouldn't kick yourself, or feel ashamed. It's not your fault. Dieting is like holding your breath, it's not sustainable. There was no way you could keep it up.

While I enjoyed reading your blog, there is a lot of negativity and self-hate. :( You must learn to feel good about yourself.

Thanks, I am glad you enjoyed reading my blog. I do admit to having negativity towards myself, but only when it comes to my weight. I have tried, and keep trying to feel good about myself, but its not so easy for me just yet...

For many people, their stable weight is higher than what the TV would have you believe is "normal". It's programmed in your DNA, and the harder you try to deviate from it, the harder you will bounce back. I'm heavier than average - and so is my mom, several of my siblings, and many cousins. We can be healthy, but we cannot naturally be skinny - our genetic blueprints won't allow it.

I do understand what you are saying... but I have been skinnier before, thus I have faith that I should be able to get there again... I just need to get my head straight and quit quitting... I'm not trying to be super model thin, just pleasantly thin...

You seem to desperately want to lose weight. Why? Are you doing it for your husband, Jenni, the bathroom scale?

I am desperate to lose weight, and I don't hide the fact. Why? Because I do not like the extra fat that I am carrying. I do not like having to stand in front of my closet every morning thinking "What clings less to me? What shows the least amount of bulge & rolls? What can I use as a "fat cover"? What pants will not give me a muffin top?

I am doing this for me. I want to be happy with myself. I want to look in the mirror & like what I see. I want to be able to wear anything I want and look and feel great in it. I want to feel comfortable around people, to be myself, and not have to be self conscious the whole time, wondering what needs to be adjusted where to hide the most fat.

The bathroom scale can't tell the difference between muscle, bone, or fat. It can't tell whether you're fit or not. It doesn't know that you're a beautiful person.

Your husband sounds like a good man. Does he ever complain about your weight? My guess is, he doesn't. I'll tell you a secret: big women can be sexy. Their curves can drive their husbands mad with desire. It's not about the weight, it's all about proper distribution (ask your hubby if he thinks your breasts are too big). Do a little exercise to maintain the waistline and keep the arms and thighs firm. By the way, the best form of exercise is lovemaking: you get a cardio workout while having lots of fun with your husband! ;o)

My husband is an amazing man! I am absolutely blessed and thankful to have him! No, he doesn't complain about my weight. He just listens to me complain about it & then tries to make me believe that it's not that big of an issue. To me, it is.

One thing that does turn men off, is when the woman deprecates herself. Don't ever call yourself fat, or lazy, or weak. Especially not in front of him. Positive thinking goes a long way. Look at yourself in the mirror, the whole of you (your husband sees you this way, he doesn't fixate on the parts like women tend to do). Marvel at how wonderfully God made you.

I know God made me. And I know He made me wonderfully and I am very thankful for the way He made me. BUT I made myself fat. I chose to stuff my face with junk non stop. God did make me wonderfully, but I seem to have "ruined" His design and now I am trying to fix it...

The way to live a healthy lifestyle, is to make small changes, and enjoy the process. Eat food that is both delicious and good for you. Go to bed early. Try different activities to find the ones that work for you, and to keep things from getting boring. Tennis, swimming, running, walking, hiking, biking, skiing, martial arts. You get the idea.

Be happy, my sister. :)

Thank you for the time you spent writing this. I don't know who you are, but your words really did mean a lot to me. I ponder on them often. I am trying to learn to be happy with myself, but every morning its the same issue...trying to find clothes to be happy in.

I don't hate myself. Nor do I hate life. I really do enjoy my life, I just think that if I were able to lose these last 20 pounds, I would be able to enjoy my life much more. I would be healthier & happier... I will not stop trying...
Just an update
Today is Thursday, which means it is Weigh In Day again. I was VERY nervous this morning. Can you guess why??

Once again, I am going back to my old, crummy habits. I know, I know. Why do you think I quit blogging? Cause I am ashamed and depressed and I don't want people knowing that I can't control myself. This is so embarrassing.

Well, I weighed in this morning at a whopping 174.6!!!

Now, for those of you that don't remember, when I quit juicing, I weighed 168.0. That means in the 4 weeks since I have been back to "normal" eating, I have gained 6.6 pounds. Although I can try and justify the amount and say that its not too much... deep down, I feel horrible about it. And I don't mean just emotionally. Physically, I feel crappier and crappier each day it seems. I feel bloated, clogged up, tired, emotional, and I am back to "needing" my caffeine. I'm on a downward spiral to my old self.. and I don't want to be my old self. I liked the "me" that I became while juicing & water fasting and eating RAW.

The way I feel now, I tell my husband and everyone else that will listen "THIS is why I was on ALL the supplements!! Because this is how I felt and I was trying to get rid of this horrible feeling." Well, now I know, I have proven it to myself. Even though I think that juicing or eating raw is hard or undesirable, it really, truly is not. I want to be juicing again. I want to eat RAW. But for some reason, it seems so hard to start again and to stick to it. All this processed food seems appealing to the eye and the mind, but it makes the body feel like crap... I think I might need to get Jenni on my case again and "make" me go back to juicing/eating RAW
I'm trying to set myself up and work out a plan and actually go back to juicing for a while, then eating RAW. I am actually looking forward to it. For some reason, I'm an "all or nothing" kinda girl. I am either full blown ALL into juicing/fasting/eating raw, or I will do nothing. At the moment, I am doing nothing but stuffing my face and being a lazy butt. Eew.

Well, there you have it. Please don't make fun of me. I am embarrassed enough as it is. I feel like my face has exploded with fat. I am still wearing my "skinny" clothes that I was able to fit into after juicing. Granted, some I can't wear anymore and some I just don't want to cause it is now uncomfortable, but I did not have to go up in size. So that makes me happy.

I really want to start using my elliptical again. I'll see if I can drag myself on it tonight... or tomorrow...

Thanks for reading my whining blog post. Hope it'll start being cheery again soon.
Juicing in Style
It's like 1am now.. I best be going to sleep. But I just came across something that I thought was totally hilarious, so I thought I'd share it quickly.

Check this out

I actually saw some on there that I would consider buying.. they weren't exactly the color or style that I like.. but the wording on it was quite to my liking...

Let me know what you think.. and if you own any of these cool shirts.. let me know ;)

Nighty Night
Thanksgiving Day!!
Today is Thanksgiving Day. I absolutely love the holidays!! Something about them just makes me extremely happy. I guess it's the fact that we are all so blessed and have so much to be thankful for and the fact that the holidays just kind of bring families closer... most of the time.

Today is Thanksgiving Day. But I will be blogging about yesterday. The holiday celebrating and feasting started a day early for us. Since we have a "His & Hers" family, we have to always try to figure out how to spend our holidays with both my family, and my husbands. Most of "His" family was going out of town this morning, so my sister in law Luda, hosted a Thanksgiving Dinner at her place last night. I must say, she is quite a host. Decorates very nicely and cooks deliciously.

I took this picture before the turkey & other dishes were set out on it.. that's why it doesn't look too full....but it was!

I believe we all had a great time last night. The food was scrumptious and the time spent well. There was way too much to choose from, as always, so I had to be very careful. I went with the "low carb" approach for the most part. My eyes could have eaten everything on the table. But my stomach, well, that's a different story. I had to be very selective so as to not over eat.

Jenni texted me a reminder right before we started eating
"Nothing tastes as good as thin feels"
Yeah, that is so true, but SO hard to comprehend when you are sitting down to a Thanksgiving feast. But I tried.

I eyed everything carefully. Thinking "Do I REALLY want that?" After careful deliberation with myself, this is what I ended up with:

I'll be honest, I did have just a bit more of the "Selodka Pod Shubay" Salad (a layered salad with salmon) and a few more of the stuffed Jalapenos (these were my most favorite part of the meal!). And the fancy looking drink was just Apple Cider with a pretty Star Fruit accessory.

For dessert we had a homemade "Bezze" cake. Not sure how to explain it in American. I'll summarize it this way: It was Russian and it was absolutely AMAZINGLY delicious!! Luda was gonna decorate it prettily, but the decorating cream didn't set well, so it ended up a tiny bit bare, but still pretty.

At this point, I gave up "low carbing" for the time being and enjoyed a slice of cake.....and then another one on my way out the door. lol.. I just couldn't help it.

I was really surprised yesterday. I really didn't think that I ate all that much, but boy, I sure was uncomfortable. It's weird, but since I've started eating a lot of non RAW food, I have been bloated most of the time. I felt really uncomfortable stuffed last night, but I couldn't figure out why. I guess I was mainly bloated and not stuffed, but I did not like the feeling.

It was a great evening. We got to relax and enjoy each others company and some great food.

I think as we look around, we will all find that we truly have a lot to be thankful for. We shouldn't limit Thanksgiving to just 1 day out of the whole year, I think we should ALWAYS be giving thanks to God for all of His blessings.

I hope you enjoy today. Enjoy your family. Enjoy the food. And count your blessings!!

Me thinking outloud
Well, it is Sunday morning, and I have just a little bit of time to get some of my "thoughts" down on "paper".. lol...

Starting Friday morning, I have been eating absolutely horribly. I mean, its all been very delicious, but 100% unRAW. And do you know how I have been feeling? Physically, really crappy. I'll go into some details soon.

Friday we had Rocket Bakery pastries brought to work for all of our employees. I have not had pastries in probably 2 months now, so I decided to give it a try. I ate a chocolate/oatmeal no bake cookie.
I borrowed this picture from here:http://archive.blisstree.com/eat/chocolate-peanut-butter-no-bake-cookies/
It was really good, and I want to think that it was one of the healthier choices. After finishing that up, I started to feel really weird. Like really tired and lethargic. Very gross feeling. I knew it was from carbs 1st thing in the morning.

For lunch we had Red Lion BBQ cater our Thanksgiving lunch. They served us Caesar Salad, Au Gratin Potatoes, BBQ Baked Beans, Chicken, and Ribs. OMG!! Let me be the 1st to say how absolutely amazing the food was!! All of it was just great!!

Here's the thing though, after we all happily stuffed ourselves like turkeys, we walked around the dealership like 1/2 asleep, worn out employees. None of us had any energy. I knew why, and I did NOT like the feeling. Its cause all of the food is cooked and processed and lacking vitamins and nutrients. Yes, it tasted really good, but it was not good for my body. It was way too many carbs. All my energy went to digesting all this food, and left no extra for anything else.

~Our Date (my 1st coffee in like 2 months)~
Saturday, my husband and I went out for a "Day Long" date. It was a very nice, relaxing day, spent very pleasantly. I've been wanting some coffee, just to see if I still like it and to see how it made me feel. So we went to Starbucks and took advantage of their "Buy one, get one free" (Holiday drinks only). Vlad got a Peppermint Mocha (he really liked it) and I got an Eggnog Latte. I enjoyed mine, but his was a bit sweeter, thus was just a bit better taste wise.

After hanging out and going shopping and just spending time together, we went to Sushi Maru in the Riverside Mall. Again, we both really liked it.

It was a fun setting, and yummy food. BUT I was not feel very well. I felt VERY bloated and uncomfortable, so I actually ate very little sushi (even though I've been wanting it for so long).

Later on that evening, I seriously had to run to the bathroom like 3 times. It was very uncomfortable and painful, whatever was going on in my stomach. I guess my body did NOT want the coffee in me and was trying to get rid of it as fast as possible. Ouch.

So I guess that was a good lesson to learn. My body doesn't want coffee anymore? Maybe its just the Starbucks one.. I also don't want to be addicted to coffee again though, so I am ok with just having 1 cup or so every once in a while.. maybe on some special occasions (yes Anna, dates with you are special occasions, so I will happily enjoy a cup of coffee with you

... the cleansing effect wasn't all bad..  I mean, I did feel really clean afterwards.. lol

I noticed something though. After being overloaded by such unhealthy, unraw food for the last few days, I am starting to feel very blah again. Just like I used to before I did my juicing cleanse. I actually told my husband and Jenni that THIS feeling is why I was so addicted to coffee and on so many supplements. This feeling is so disgusting, that I just pretty much tried everything to get rid of it. I am shocked to now understand that it was caused by the food I chose to eat. I am so happy to know that now and to be able to fix myself just by eating raw. What a concept. I am very excited!

You know what though? I am actually REALLY, REALLY missing my RAW food. I am craving it and longing for it. I am now going to go make my RAW shopping list and go grocery shopping. I want to feel great again, and I feel great when I eat RAW.

This is such an awesome, exciting discovery for me. Anyone want to join me in eating RAW?
2 Days of RAW done...
Written: Thursday, November 17th 2011
Posted: Sunday, November 20th, 2011

So, after 2 days of RAW, I have lost 3 pounds!! That is totally awesome!! I didn't quite hit my goal this morning, but I was still pleased with my weigh in. This morning, 2 weeks after completing my 40 day juice cleanse, I weighed 171.2. That means I have gain 3 pounds since I started eating. (realistically, I was shocked to discover that I actually gained like 6 pounds, but thankfully I have been able to lose 3 of those.)

I got home this evening, and we were out of raw/salad foods. I knew we would be, just been procrastinating on going grocery shopping. Well, I ended up eating some Korean Carrot salad (which was raw).. But along with that I had a few oven baked tater tots...those were so amazingly delicious!!! I also had a little bit of chicken noodle soup. It all tasted great, but I felt guilty eating unRAW, so I wasn't quite able to actually enjoy dinner.. Which was a real bummer.

Tomorrow we are having our company Thanksgiving lunch. It will be catered, and there will be a lot of delicious food that I will not even bother trying to pass up. I will definitely try to limit the amount, but I will enjoy lunch tomorrow...

I know that when I eat RAW, I feel absolutely great & I lose weight. So I know that works for me. My goal is to stick to RAW as much as possible, but I will not torture myself by not allowing myself any of the yummy food I like.

We'll see how this goes...
Ending of my 2 day RAW Craze
Well, here we are coming to the end of Wednesday, my 2nd day of ONLY RAW food.

I must say, I am very pleased with myself. So far, I have been 100% raw Tuesday & Wednesday. I feel great! And it has been very easy.

This morning, I was VERY pleased with my weigh in results. Yesterday I weighed 173.2... this morning, I weighed 171.4. That is quite a big drop in weight in just 1 day... I can't wait to weigh myself tomorrow morning... Hopefully I'll be around 169 again...

Not much to write about today. I feel like I'm either coming down with something, or my body is reacting to the weather change we are expecting (supposed to snow here in WA). I have weird pressure in my head and my knees are being annoying... lol...

Gonna just relax all evening today.. Hopefully I'll feel great tomorrow morning...

My friend Anna sent me this picture
She said it reminded her of me.. and I totally understand why. Me and my obsession with diets/calories.. ugh.. Well, now that I am eating raw, calories really don't exist.. lol.. cause I am NOT counting them. With raw, I can eat whenever I'm hungry, as much as I want, and still lose weight. Obviously I have to be careful with things like Nuts, which are full of good fat... but for the most part.. calories do not exist... I am liking this.

Off to relax... I am expecting to be able to blog about great results tomorrow.....
Just an update
Hello, hello!!

I'm freezing cold right now, my tea is brewing.. so this will be quick.

I have let myself go. I feel horrible about it! (Not just emotionally, but physically also) I mean for the last 5 days or so, I have been chowing down on pretty much anything and everything. Went to Olive Garden, then to Applebee's, then had pizza, then had more (delicious) junk that I can't even recall (all spread out over several days). I mean, I kept trying to stop myself and eat right... but it didn't work out so well....

Here is me feeling really fat : (

I have been too scared to weigh myself, cause I know I gained weight, and I didn't wanna see how high the numbers got.

Also, my BM's got messed up. I was no longer going as often nor as abundantly. I do NOT want to go back to my old ways.

So, this morning, I weighed myself. The scale showed 173.2. Less than I expected, but way more than I wanted.

So I "vowed" to myself that I need to lose as much weight as possible for my Thursday weigh in. That gives me 2 days. How am I gonna do it? Well, I'm not sure, but I am gonna try..

Tuesday and Wednesday, my goal is to not have ANY food except for RAW food! This is the evening of Tuesday, and I am very proud of myself. I have not eaten anything except raw today. I feel good. Physically and emotionally. Don't get me wrong, I had my temptations. At work today. they offered to buy me lunch from some Hawaiian place. It was hard, but I said, "No thanks, I'll just eat my salad." And I did.

When I got home, my family was eating fresh, delicious chicken noodle soup. I ALMOST put it in my mouth, but I did not.. just had more salad...

Now I am sitting here, while my family is having sweets with their evening tea.. I will have walnuts and dates with my tea. I love that snack. SO delicious!!

I will weigh myself again tomorrow to see how much I lost in just one day. Hopefully I will be pleasantly surprised...

Till my next blog...
1st Outing to a Restaurant AFTER my Juicing Cleanse
Well. I guess this is Thursday, huh? And Thursdays ARE my "official" weigh-in days. So I have to tell you what I weighed this morning, even though I really do not want to.

Yes, I gained weight. I know. Don't hate me. I'm already depressed about it.

From Sunday till Monday, we had a camp out at my sister Alyona's house.

As fun as it was (and it was VERY fun) deep down, I kept thinking.. "I'm gonna gain weight, I'm gonna gain weight". Why? Cause her house is full of goodies. And of course, I like goodies. So even though I tried to hold myself back and control what went into my mouth, I knew that I had "splurged" and would be paying for it.Come Tuesday, I get on the scale and what do I see? Numbers that I never wanted to see again. I saw 171.8 which meant that I had gained 2.2 additional pounds. Not good. Not good at all.

So I have been trying harder these last few days. Eating more RAW, but eating less in general. Today, on my "official" weigh-in, I weighed in at 171.2. Still way higher than I want, but less than on Tuesday. Less is better in this case.

I have been really stressed out lately.I've been working on a super important presentation at work (my brain is like totally used up.. lol) but then when I get home, I still wanna have fun, so we end going to bed really late. Then getting up really early and the cycle continues. Plus, I am eating salty foods, so I am retaining water. I believe these also play a huge role in my weight gain.

But I am not giving up. Gonna keep trying.

Finally, my awesome friend Anna and I were able to go out on a lunch date. Haven't seen her in like forever.

After a long discussion, we decided on going to Olive Garden.

I wanted to eat the "right" way, but still enjoy my very 1st outing to a restaurant. So, I got their unlimited salad

which was way awesome,
and 1/2 a Steak and Portobello Mushroom Pannini. The grilled sandwich was made from grilled sliced steak with balsamic onions, portobello mushrooms and asiago cheese with a sun-dried tomato and herb spread.
DELICIOUS!!

That was an absolutely amazing meal! Tasted SO good AND it hit all the "spots", but yet, I did not have to feel guilty. It was a great outing. Anna is always such a pleasant person to be with. Love her positive outlook and her sweet kindness!

After my lunch date, I went back to work for a few more long, stressful hours.. then came home and am enjoying my family and just being able to relax.

Hoping to lose weight and not gain it... that's the goal.
After Juicing Cleanse Update!!
This post was written Sunday, November 6th.. but I did not actually post it until today, Wednesday November the 9th...

I guess it's time for a much needed update. It's always a surprise to me when people contact me and actually ask for an update since I haven't blogged for a few days. That's really nice. I didn't know that many people cared or read my blog. So it's a great surprise, motivates me to try just a bit harder so that when I do update, I won't disappoint or gross people out. Lol

So now for the update. It has now been 5 whole days since I have been eating. I would say about 85% - 90% of it has been RAW. Either fruits, veggies, or salads. I started adding some regular food back in, such as smoked Salmon (this has been the food I absolutely crave the most!!), chicken, had an egg yesterday, and every once in awhile, if someone is eating something yummy, but not so healthy, I'll sneak a small taste of it.

This fish was SO AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS!!! It lasted me a few days (don't worry, I shared).. and I was very, very sad when it was all gone.

For the most part, even though my conscience seems to always feel guilty, I'd say that I am doing quite well. Not as well as I should be, but well enough I guess. This 1st week of food, I kinda let myself go enjoy and the foods that I've been missing (in moderation). I have been swollen a lot due to the amount of fish that I have been eating (makes me drink lots of water cause of the salt).

My last weigh in was yesterday. I was scared. I was sure the results on the scale were gonna make me depressed, but I was quite surprised to see 169.6 on it. If any of you remember (I didn't, had to go look it up) the lowest weight I got to during my fast/cleanse was 163.8 and that was right when I was done with my 10 days of water fasting. As soon as I started drinking broth/juice again, my weight started going up (which was expected, but unpleasant). When my full 40 days of juicing were over, I weighed in at 168.0 (which was a 4.2 pound gain since the water fast).

Since my 40 days were done and over with and I have been eating for 5 days, I only gained 1.6 pounds back!!! That is such an amazing, pleasant surprise to me!! For some reason, I thought I was gaining so much weight back and becoming quite depressed about it. But now that I figured out my numbers, I am very happy. Yes, I know that I have gained and not lost, but that was to be expected the 1st week back to eating.. And that's with me letting myself indulge in yumminess that I have missed.

Come Monday (tomorrow) I wanna have more of a "set" plan of how/what I will be eating. Gonna try to figure that out today and go do some food shopping.

We've spent a lot of time with Valik and Jenni Rudd this weekend. Not only was it lots of fun, but it has been very helpful too. They are done juicing also and are onto RAW food now, so talking to them, eating some of their RAW yumminess has giving me quite a lot of great ideas and support as to what I can make and actually enjoy... Without feeling guilty!!

Valik has been posting some great recipes/videos that are really helpful to watch, so make sure you check out his website www.geekgrass.com

I hope to be able to update a little more often and with some weight loss numbers in the near future!! Thanks for your support and encouragement!!

By the way, for all of you who were wondering... Lol... I talked quite openly on here about my BM issues.. The fact that I don't usually "go". Well, I am VERY happy to report: since I have been back on food this week, I have gone every single day!! Easily!! Abundantly!! And like on a schedule. It has been so great not to feel clogged or have to figure out what kind of laxative I should take. I think this is really due to the fact that I cleaned out nicely during my fast/cleanse and also to the fact that I am eating so much raw fiber. This has been one of the best benefits! I am so thankful!!!!

I also want to add that before my juicing fast, I got headaches/migraines CONSTANTLY. I had several severe ones per week. I took lots of Tylenol & Excedrin. Well, during my fast, I only  had a few minor headaches due to detox and stuff. Since I have been done juicing, I have had to take Tylenol 2 times. I know, I was shocked that my head hurt, but it did. I tried to hold off of the pain pills.. but finally gave in. I am really hoping that my headaches will not come back. But I can't be sure about that.

I am still avoiding all caffeine. I used to be an addict. The last week we have been going to bed SUPER late and getting up SUPER early, and still I am able to function absolutely perfect without any caffeine. That to me is super duper awesome!! To be honest, I do miss the taste of coffee (with lots of cream), but I am too afraid to give in and have even a sip. I do NOT want to rely on caffeine again. That was very annoying before.

So far, everything is going great!!
